Human Resources

Human Resources (HR) is a common yet vital role in many businesses today. We recognise this area as vital in the everyday running of both the public and private sector. The field of HR has steadily evolved in the last few decades with the introduction of new technologies resulting in the expansion of an HRs job role. The need for people working in this sector to understand and utilise these technologies is now a standard requirement.

Basic skills such as creating spreadsheets, managing databases and word processing are all standard in the day-to-day job skills required by HR specialists. Communication skills are also extremely important as dealing with customers and clients is commonplace. These areas are covered in this course.

Soft skills such as time management, business communication, customer service and management skills are all included in the curriculum. These skills will also prove beneficial in a variety of other fields including finance, education, health and telecommunications. There is also the scope to enter into management roles once you’ve gained sufficient experience.  Browse through the syllabus to read more about each more module and what you’ll be learning.
